Advanced Word. Create a master document and insert other documents

About this tutorial:

Video duration: 6:28
An explanation and demonstration on how to create a “master” document in Word, and then insert and link “sub-documents” to create one dfile.
Very useful for example where you are writing book chapters and saving them as separate files. When you are finished the book, you can the create one file including all the chapters.

I took a 60 year-old paper novel and retyped it in Word. The doc is 20 chapters and 100,000 words. I didn't know about documents and sub docs then. Now I am stuck with one mega doc. How do I break up the chapters into individual documents so I can create a Master doc? Should I create a tiff for each chapter and then insert the tiff to make a sub doc. From that create a new chapter word doc. Then I can insert that doc into a Master? Finally, I'd be back to where I should have began? I'm working my way backwards to go forward. I'm afraid I'll wreck all of my work by fiddling around. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Sir, I have a 100 pages document and i tried to break it into few parts. When I do this, the format, font size and the others are all messed up. Word formatted it automatically, can you help me? Thanks for the video, it is very informative
