Create a Histogram in Excel with Process Capability Metrics Cp Cpk Pp Ppk XL2003

About this tutorial:

Video duration: 3:7
Use a histogram to determine the distribution of measurable data and the capability (i.e., the level of performance the customers can consistently expect) of the process. Process capability is determined using your data and the customer’s upper specification (USL) and lower specification limits (LSL).

Its difficult to create a histogram in Excel, but it’s easy using QI Macros SPC Software. Just select your data and then select histogram from the QI Macros pull down menu. The QI Macros will draw the histogram and calculate all of the process capability metrics for you.

Mikkel in this example the data set did not have any values between 158.5 and 175.5. The scatter chart video uses a different data set

Spec limits are provided by the customer they are not calculated from the data. In this example a LSL of 200 was used
