In this video I show you how to do a so called “typewriter” animation in PowerPoint. It is quite simple, but due to some weird ui decisions by Microsoft there are two elements that are called “Effect Options”, whereas one opens a dialog with options and the other doesn’t.

Step-by-Step Guide:

I. Create a new slide, ideally with a blank layout.

II. Add a text box or use an existing text box. Enter the quote.

III. Go to the “Animations” tab, select the text box and click on the animation called “Appear”.
