Great Video! Wondering if you have another plugin for this. The WP-Mail-SMTP is not pulling up with the one you've clicked on. Any advice??

Hi Adam! This video happened to come up after I looked at the video for our product, DesktopServer (which you've done a video for – thanks!). I just wanted to point out that DesktopServer actually now contains a built-in mailbox viewer. I've found that the SMTP plugins can be hit and miss, which is why we created a mailbox viewer which captures all email and makes it available locally. In the Premium version, it's included, but the Limited (totally free) version you have to go to GitHub and download/install it to the ds-plugins directory – just look for "desktopserver mailbox viewer" and you'll find it.

Not trying to sound salesy, so much as point out that I know the struggle is real on this one and that's the reason we made another way.

Adam, I'm using an office365 email, and I can not for the life of me get this to work. I have the host and port set to what I can only believe to be the correct answers as this is what office is saying to use. All of my credentials are correct, but it's still failing to connect to the server.

    Hi, thanks for this tutorial.
I set everything up as you instructed. I got the test to work using SSL encryption (other options didn't work).
The test email works but goes to spam, as do all other email.
Any suggestions welcome – I am using WooCommerce.
    Thanks in advance!

Hey this was a great video however its not working. I followed all your instructions until obviously inserting my SMTP host/port info. I sent out the Test email (got it) BUT when I go to my contact form page (logged in from different computer as a visitor to the page) Its not working, nor is it going to spam Its been over 2hrs. What do I do in this case?

This is great and very helpful. Thank you! I am setting up a website for my client and she uses hotmail and I have searched high and low to find the right SMTP to use for hotmail and all I can find is this one: smtp.live.com can it be the one to place under local host? It says its the server adress but they always show this one: smtp.domain.com so I have no idea what to use to make this work properly.

I followed the steps in the video, using the smtp information provided by my host,
however e-mails still end up in spam. This started to happen a few days ago, all worked fine before, that's how I got here.

You just made my day awesome. Been battling for a couple days with gmail trying to change settings myself. I got a message from google saying that the app wanted to log in to my account and that it is not safe. Can I be hacked or get extra spam now? Your content is always great. Thanks.
