About this tutorial:

Video duration: 1:54
This basic tutorial will cover how to make desktop shortcuts in Windows 10. Coming from Windows 7 or XP, this may be different, but it is very easy to create a desktop shortcut from the start menu for programs or apps.

    Shortcut I needed is from EDGE!
    In IE, with a web page open….
    I could drag and drop from the URL to the desktop…
    And automatically have a shortcut that would link to that web page!!!
    EDGE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE ABLE TO DO THAT!!!

    If it is so much easier why would tutorial be necessary? You might have started with how to get it loaded into the apps list

    I cannot agree that Windows 10 has made it easier to make shortcuts to the desk top. Nothing could be easier than the way it was done previously. You say click on All Apps in the list that should show when you click on the Microsoft Logo in the bottom left corner of the desk top screen – unfortunately no such thing as All Apps appears in this list on my computer so please tell me what I can do to make shortcuts.

    Hi. I just got this new HP windows 10 laptop from my family. I was trying to find the charms of Google and YouTube, but couldn't. I had to go and completely download Google then add on my desktop. I couldn't find it as a charm ,So How do I make google a charm? And how do I find YouTube and add it to the desktop then make it a charm too? Please someone help me, and talk in regular words, not these big 20 letter words { like my last name lol}
    Thanks,
    Todd
