    1, Cut down on texts. Use bullets. Left justifying.2, Tell a story. Left to right, top to down. 3, Let your poster breathe. 40% blank. 4, Choose right color palette. 5, Don't go crazy on the fonts. 6, Think of a concise and interesting title. 7, Refigure your figures. 8, Prepare to present your poster.     Thanks for saying about the font thing. People like using 'pretty' fonts that end up making the poster look cheap.
