Microsoft Planner is a great application that is part of the Office 365 offering. It is a work in progress but none the less, Planner is a vast improvement from a simple to do list that you may us in Outlook for example. If you are managing internal projects across several employees with a lot of moving pieces but don’t have a need for a fully fledged project management software then Planner will be great for you!

    It is now June 2018, and it is STILL NOT AVAILABLE FOR GOVERNMENT. They had an ETA of 2017, then 1st half of 2018, then May of 2018, and just a few days ago they change ETA again to Q42018. What gives?!?!?!?!

    I think they might be using the word "Bucket" because Planner's goal is created around the idea of completing a "Bucket List" (so to speak). A Bucket List is defined as "a number of experiences or achievements that a person hopes to have or accomplish during their lifetime". So the number of achievements or goals you wish to complete using Planner are stored in a "Bucket" ironically arranged in—a list! LOL
