This tutorial explains how to set Word 2007 so that it saves in the older .doc format instead of .docx format. This means you can share your documents with people using older Word versions (97, 2000, XP, 2003) without having to resort of the compatibility pack which doesn’t work half the time.
Once you have learnt to do this for Word, its the same process for Excel (.xls) and PowerPoint (.ppt)
