If you are using a third party Word Processor like Libre Office or Open office it can be a good idea to change the format of the text from ODT to DOC here is how to do it

  1. I used Libre Office on Linux for some time and still have many .ODT and ODS files. Office 2016 has no problem with these although Excel can sometimes have formatting problems with complex spreadsheets.

    I agree that changing to Office format before sending files outside your own systems is a good plan.

    Since i wiped out my daughters Word program when fixing her laptop, she wants me to buy a new version of Word. I refuse to do that.
