Since the mouse and keyboard seem to be functional BEFORE you've installed anything, does that mean there's some sort of driver already present in the motherboard to recognize USBs? I ask because not having USB drivers is the main reason cited for having difficulty installing Windows 7 with recent hardware. Supposedly the KB & mouse aren't usable unless you slipstream the USB drivers into the flash drive installer. But here, they were working for BIOS edits without Windows.

Having an issue where both the SSD and HDD I've installed are not showing up in bios (uefi mode) both are firmly plugged into motherboard and both have power running to them. All parts are completely brand new and were not opened until they were needed. Haven't installed windows yet. I need a starting point to troubleshoot from.

Very thorough, however, with my PC building inexperience — what about HD sound? Is that included on a good GPU or a separate sound card?

Around 11:08 I can see you have a windows boot manager on your ssd as priority 1 then just the ssd as priority 2, IS THIS NORMAL? It basically shows the same thing for my m.2 and Im wondering if something is incorrect? Cant find much about it on the internet. Nor can I find what LED code 04 actully indicates if anything is wrong on my aorus z370 gaming 7

In your opinion, If my pc is working fine do I really need to update my bios and possibly risk making it unstable or even worse destroying it.

I just built my custom gaming rig. The components and peripherals were fairly simple considering all of the YouTube tutorials out there. You have the most comprehensive after install tutorial that I have seen in my voyages through the web and I appluade you on your attention to detail. Best video of all yet. The one sticking point I had due to lack of YouTube tutelage was cable install and management. There was no single video dedicated to how to hook up and manage all cables that I am aware of. If I am wrong than I am remiss. Please come up with a a how to video that covers this. Thanks!

Hi Paul, Great videos! I need help please. My son and I want to build a gaming computer. He is a Minecraft kid and loves getting on a certain few Minecraft servers for his fill. My question to you and your viewers: will your $400 gaming system work for that or do I need something with more power. I would appreciate any help or recommendations you and your views would have. Thanks, Frank

SUUUUUUUPER helpful – thanks!! I'm a newbie builder and this finally answered my how-to questions. I'll search through your channel to see the "First 5 things for Window Installations" next and am hoping I'll find something about how to set up a RAID 1 configuration. Many thanks!

When I try to install Windows onto my 1TB hard drive (because ofc, ADATA sent me a faulty SSD), it says "Windows could not format a partition on disk 0. The error occurred while preparing the system's volume". Now I don't know what the hell disk 0 is, but it is 1 GB of unallocated space. Can anyone help?
