    This is totally absurd, to recover an individual file it is way easier to go directly into the tib file (the acronis archive format), to navigate into it, and to drag and drop the file you need.
    Your method using the disk backup will install the whole archive, so it can require a few hours and it will install hundredth of Go, just to get a few files… And if it is a system disk, it will copy some files that cannot be deleted because they have a protected format.
    Please, acronis, give some usefull tips and clear explanations.

    if the computer reaches a nonbootable state its fine to restore using the rescue CD, but why wasn't the most common function of restoring the disc via the windows software? I know I for one don't plan to restore through a bootable media, I keep clones as bootable drive in case the C drive ever goes down.
