About 5 in western Essex County, MA. Should be another one tomorrow. Looks like it could be a handful of chances for storms in southern New England through mid July though.

Your forecasts have been all over the place. 2 months ago you forecast a cooler than average summer for the Great Lakes region. As you know, it's been hotter and drier than heck.

I live near the border of New Jersey and I have had at least 10-ish thunderstorms. The worst storm that i have had so far in 2020 was June 3rd, 2020 when It started flooding around 12:30 in the afternoon. Later around 7:30, There was this rare derecho and we got a tornado warning. That was the craziest weather day of my life.

In VA, it seems we have had what I used to think of as south FL weather: periods of hard rain and some thunder and lightening every day, usually in the midafternoon. The new normal?

In western Canada we saw a huge rainstorm with lots of rain in British Columbia coming from the Prairies which is very odd. Looking like a cold wet July😥

Great video. I live in the south and its been very hot and humid and there have been more storms to count and, thats including all of the severe weather outbreaks and tornado outbreaks and, yes if you were thinking the answer is yes i was in the Easter outbreak it was very bad. My guess is probably more than this but here it is 50. And a happy 4th of July to you Direct Weather.

Here in South Central Kansas we’re below average in the thunderstorm department this year at only 17. January saw 1, March saw 2, April saw 4, May saw 9, and June saw only 1. What’s even more unusual is the complete lack of tornado watches in our area so far this year. This drought sucks!

Albany NY. None. Not anything that I would consider more than a brief shower.

I have had at least 4 thunderstorms this year one severe one and the rest were normal strength. Had two today, part of a system that is stuck right now. Tomorrow we have a marginal risk for storms up here for Northern New England, Burlington Vermont is also in it.

Since March, my area (Eau Claire Wisconsin) has had only six thunderstorms. As is typical of storms, it somehow always skirts around Eau Claire and then reintensify past us.
