It’s really baffling listening to Panos. Nice person I’m sure, but man… Microsoft needs someone else to lead their mobile division.

Surface Duo isn’t a perfect product, but I appreciate the vision they are trying to bring to the space. The hardware is spectacular; software still needs to grow. On the flip side, we have to grow, too. Challenge how we use mobile devices.

But…. everything on your $1400 product doesn’t work right, as per a number of reviewers. So do you think you could workout an official salary schedule for all of us you’ve forced into Beta Tester employment especially since you didn’t ask us to do that???

I'm rewatching on my new Surface Duo.
    I love it.

Feels like Microsoft made a product just for me. Can't explain it lol.

I love the way he describes it, the passion he feels. A bit smaller bezels, better camera and a lower price say around 1k and I would be sold. I'll wait for the next generation for the moment. Now I'm looking at something I like A LOT ♥️

So the original presentation was windows on the duo and they had to backtrack? And put ardroid first ??

    (October 17, 2020 - 11:15 am)

A very try-hard, pleading, inauthentic presentation. The hardware/software combo looks decent enough "on the surface", but the carefully marketed, emotionally manipulative, modulated language that's supposed to tug at your heartstrings ("amazing!", "inspiring", "intentional", aww shucks, what a down-to-earth, thoughtful company!) was nauseating. Judging by the universally adoring comments across this thread I can see that MS is trying very hard to shape public perceptions around a product that most smartphone users, or even just corporate robots, will not want or need. "The Microsoft you love", what the heck? NO ONE loves Microsoft, they tolerate it at best because it has a monopoly on corporate productivity software. And it's not endearing to show off your marquee product with a shaky hand and glare all over the screen while you give directions to your camera guy, it looks unprofessional and sloppy.

Since this thread will not provide you with much constructive criticism, you can take a look here: http://www.applenewsnet.com/blog/2020/8/15/surface-duo-are-two-screens-really-better-than-one Whether you like Apple or not they are the gold standard for these types of products and if you don't give iPhone/iPad users a compelling reason to use this thing, you are dead in the water. Lets not forget to mention Google and the privacy and data-sucking dracula that Google is. Also, what's with the gigantic chin and forehead? Its like what the iPad Mini had when it was released in 2012, but on a much smaller screen. At $1400 you aren't getting many Android fans (they can't afford it/don't want to pay for it) and even hardcore MS users are using iPhones for mobile.

i have just bought a new and classy surface pro 7 and its "over-the-moon" components; and i do not want to cover it with dust when it comes to buying a DUO, which captures my heart at first sight. <3

The passion with which this guy presented the product is unimaginable. As said by one of the commentators, this is not just a phone, it's a product which is real and has a lot of potential. I just wish Microsoft would not leave us in "the middle of the storm". That has happened so many times which resulted in "broken heart". Good luck for this product. I already have mine and I am still getting used to it. Love it this far.

So many reviewers have been comparing this to other smart phones, but this phone is about productivity revolving around the Microsoft suite with the wide dual screen experience taking care of the rest of life as well. The integration between phone and computer is amazing and sooo usefull. Well done Jazmine, every reviewer is amazed at the quality and functionality of the hinge.

Received mine yesterday. Most of the Verizon services don't work. If you are a Verizon customer don't waste your time. Come on Microsoft, why would you only partner with AT&T when most businesses use Verizon. Crud! Great product but a deal breaker with no Verizon option.

Great innovation but all the reviews today are negative and tell people not to buy this. I hope that Microsoft will create a DUO 2 with the suggested fixes and don't abandon this product when everyone that ordered one returns them. Good work Surface team. Keep innovating!

I love the entire product line. I have the surface studio 2. Got a few people to buy the surface laptops. Will be buying this phone.

Nope, needs an outside screen for quick access to calls/text/weather . Samsung nailed it with
their new Galaxy Fold 2, and it also has 5G. If the MS Duo adds these features I'll buy it, but as of now
    its a BIG NO GO.
