I order this for the screen size and the memory. It did NOT disappoint me.>>>  This was great to have while on my flight to Chicago. Watched a couple of movies.

I'd install Droid Keeper. Then, once you set it up, DK will force stop any apps you'd like.

The only problem I have with this advice is that at power on, most of them will auto load so you'd have to do this every time you power on the device. Additionally, some of them are set to restart themselves automatically if associated services detect that the app is not running. Example: I've force stopped both FB & Messenger only to see them reappear on the running list after about a minute has passed.

I have a huge book collection. I've noticed that the Kindle app runs super slow when I have a lots of books downloaded (scrolling and page turns take a significant delay). Is this a problem on the Fire?

    (May 29, 2020 - 4:47 am)

If you power it down after doing all of that you will have to do it all over again. All of the applications that you stopped will be running again once it starts back up again.

Video does not tell you how to stops apps from automatically starting up. You can force stop it but when you go back manage apps it will be to running again.

Why does kindle allow battery hogs …these apps should auto force stop.
