I'm going to try this today!  Went out and bought a new printer for this problem – neither the old or the new one are working.

    HP Employee –

I am wondering if there is any permanent solution to this problem.  We use HP printers in our office and constantly have to restart the print spoolers on all of our Windows 7 (x64) computers.  I will typically have to do this 5+ times per day just to get  programs like Microsoft Office or AutoCAD to open and then again each time I need to print.  Our IT consultant tells us that HP and Microsoft have not found a solution – I just find that hard to believe considering what a huge inconvenience this is to so many of your costumers.  Please let me know if there are any solutions we can use to help mediate this issue.

    Thank you

Please install the Print and Scan Doctor. The Print and Scan Doctor will stop the print spooler if there is an issue. I can provide a link to the download in a private message if you would like.
