I know you said you were jumping ahead a bit, but please carry on jumping ahead! Would really appreciate you covering ILS/VOR stuff next and how to do flight plans without having to quit back to the main menu. I know it would be backwards for training in the real world, but the reality is a sim it's ok to do trial and error and make mistakes, and the basics of flying we can work out, but the ILS stuff really needs a tutorial to get started (like this one). Then we can go back to the fundamentals to become more competent and do it with a bit more finesse – but at least we'll be able actually get flying at night and in bad weather while waiting for that.

While using the autopilot, as per this video, when I put the sim in Active Pause, everything is fine, but when I restore the sim to action, everything goes crazy and I end up in a spin… I wonder what I am doing wrong… or is it a bug??

I tried using the autopilot on the Patagonia bush trip, but when i turn it on and turn on ALT to keep my altitude, the plane steers hard left while my heading is straight. Any clue what i am doing wrong?

Thanks again for an amazing tutorial. I'm becoming a better pilot (sim) every day. Wondering if you or anyone in the comments know of people or groups that you could direct me to that would like to play multiplayer and learn/practice together. I've searched around for a few groups, but basically if you can't fly a 747-8 intercontinental, they don't want you in your group. Just looking for some people that are new to flying and would like to have fun, but also learn together.

Could you by any chance do a tutorial on how to find your way around large airports when on the ground. I keep being told to follow the on screen directions but don't see anything .. so having some idea how to get around would be helpful

Thanks for your precious explanations that even little advanced users can understand.
However, I am faced with one huge PROBLEM: Using the Cessna 172S, after a couple of minutes, the G1000 display regularly goes black! Is this a bug or is there anything I forget to do? How can I recover?
Thanks in advance for your kind HELP.

Guys, i don't know how you guys do it!!!!!!!! I know how to use the autopilots on jets quite well. Especaolly Citation jets and i CAN NOT fly the citation CJ4 or the Longitude AT ALL using the autopilot systems. It does not work at all like it's supposed to on my sim!!!! Now i've seen video's like this one with it working. Well it don't do this on mine at all. So i don't know what is going on with my system. I have Intel i7 5820K with Gigabyte X-99 motherboard, 32gig of ram 250mbs internet and a GTX Geforce 1080 ti video card. So i don't think it's my system causing this issue. I've flown the TBM 930 and it does the same thing. So if anyone knows what is going on, please advise me what i can be doing wrong. I don't have this issue with any planes on FSX Steam or X-plane 11.

Now we need a tutorial on entering a flight plan from Sim Brief into the FMS. I don't understand which parts of the autopilot route from Simbrief are airways and which are waypoints. Also, when I was trying to add a flightplan into the FMS by hand, one of the things I entered auto filled to a different name: for example, I might have entered RAS and it becames RAST. Does that mean this game doesn't have that airway or waypoint as one of the things I can enter? i.e. it's not programmed into the game as a waypoint that exists?

Does Cessna 152 have autopilot? Not gps stuff, but like keeping it's course or altitude? Sorry for the stupid question 🙂

Thanks for the video very concise and informative, do you know of any manuals that are available that explain how to use the G1000? This would be invaluable, thanks

I'm a beginner pilot. I've been doing the bush rip in Croatia on autopilot ( yes yes it's cheating) and it's helping me so much learning both the autopilot and navigating. 3 days a go I looked at the Garming 1000 and thought WTF is this? Now I'm safely flying the plane through the world understanding so much more! Very helpfull videos!

    (September 3, 2020 - 3:37 am)

Did i imagine it but you repeated the heading > 180 degs?

    (September 3, 2020 - 3:37 am)

Very well done, sir! Thank you for this information/tutorial.

    (September 3, 2020 - 3:37 am)

Did he not realize he explained the more then 180 degrees heading thing twice, exactly the same?

Great video series! Thanks! Would love to see a tutorial on programming and flying an RNAV approach, ideally on the 320. Does FS2020 fly RNP AR APCH (radius to fix legs?) I think not, but…
